The kids have been having so much fun with their cousins Emilia and Jack since they arrived from England last weekend. Sophia and Emilia are two peas in a pod cooking in the kitchen, coloring, and playing with the "Little People". And Evan couldn't be more into Jack....and Jack seems to enjoy Ev's company too! Ev has been so cute - rubbing Jack's head and snuggling with him any chance he gets. We are really enjoying our time together so far, and the best part is that they are here for another 3 weeks! We are so lucky to have this bonding time together! I'm sure there will be plenty more pictures to come but here are a few favorites so far!
Evan had a fantastic time turning 6 this year! Grandma & Pepere were here from FL on his actual birthday and his other grandparents and Uncle Matt also joined us for a special dinner and cake that evening. This year we gave Evan the choice of having a kids' party out somewhere, having one friend join us at the Science Museum, or to have a kids' party at the house. He chose to have a party at the house - he chose the theme (CARS 2), the decorations and the guest list, as well as the activities and games. What a huge difference a year makes! He basically planned the whole party from start to finish!! As you can see, he also chose his outfit - he insisted on wearing his Halloween costume to his party (CARS 2 pit crew guy) and played so hard in it that it ripped in so many places we couldn't repair it. Hence the Superman costume for the second year in a row on Halloween!! Here are a few pictures from the festivities.....
Where in the world the last 2 months have gone, I have no idea! It has been 2 of the busiest months on record for us it seems, for a number of reasons. I am attributing my lack of blogging to the fact that I did start a new job about a month ago with UMS. They have me making sales calls to different territories in the US during Sophia's nap time every day. It's been great so far! But gone are the 2 hours I had to myself each day to catch up on life's luxuries like updating our blog (and laundry!!) So, here is my attempt to recap the last two months and the fun that the kids have had. I'll likely separate things out into separate posts.
First off, can I just say...October in New England? What a bizzare month it was!
October 10, 2011 - Falmouth, Cape Cod - we were swimming in the ocean!
2 1/2 weeks later on October 30, 2011....our first nor'easter - 13 inches of snow!
So let's go back to October 10th...here are a few pics of our fun day at the beach!
