Hiking/Camping Trip

It's been a LONG time since I have posted - since before our Cruise vacation! I have lots of fantastic pictures of that trip, and many more from some fun summer outings since then. I am hopefully going to have time this week to do some blog updating but figured I would start with some great hiking pictures that Jeff sent me. Evan and Dad had their 2nd annual Father/Son hiking/camping trip this past weekend. Last year they hiked Mt. Monadnock which was a great accomplishment for Ev. This year, they went up to the White Mountains to the Franconia Notch area and actually hiked a 4,800 footer! Jeff cannot get over how great Evan did - he is still amazed! They hiked Mt. Moosilauke which is 4802 feet - it took a little under 8 hours to reach the summit and back again. And Jeff says that Evan barely complained at all - he was a great hiking buddy and seemed to enjoy it so much! They also did some fishing, swimming, mining for minerals and of course campfires and s'mores. It was so good for Evan to get away from "the girls" for a weekend! And I am glad Jeff has a buddy who seems to enjoy hiking as much as he does! He says next year Ev is ready for Mt. Washington. And of course Jeff is already planning Mt. Rainier for when Ev is 14....always the adventure seeker!!!!!! Here are some pics....
