Ev had a great day today and was happy to be a Second Grader!!! Here's to a great year!!!!

Fun with the Cousins! (part 1)

I have loads of pictures to sort through from our wonderful visit with Meg, Jamie, Emilia and Jack. It may take me a while. But here are a couple I just uploaded - I may do this in stages!!!! Had such a memorable visit and we miss these little faces already SO much!

Happy 40th Carolyn!!!

I had the privilege of spending the afternoon with Carolyn and her family yesterday as she celebrated turning 40! We are officially a bunch of old ladies!!! We had a great afternoon boating, tubing and kayaking. Here are some fun pics. As you can see, Grampy had a field day bouncing Jeff and Ev around on the tube and it looks like they didn't mind a bit! Sophia also had a tube ride - her first of the summer. I think she was inspired by her cousins Emilia and Jack :) She drove the boat for the first time all summer too. Thanks Ca for letting us celebrate with you!

Camp Fun with Great Friends!!

Again, this post is a bit belated but better late than never!!! We had a fantastic day at the Camp (about mid-July) with our Carlson/Carpenter/Berube friends. It is so nice to see all the kids enjoying the Camp like we did when we were younger. Ca and Dit even tried out their waterskiing skills after many years and as you can see from the pictures, they haven't changed too much in 20-25 years! Those faces are still the same!!! So great to make some new memories too - the kids had a blast swimming, tubing and driving the boat - Luke was especially excited to honk the horn on the boat! (about 50 times in the middle of the lake!!)

Nice Bike Ride at the Rail Trail

We can feel a crispness in the air and it feels like Fall has arrived a bit early in New England so yesterday was a lovely day for a bike ride! I love 70 degree Fall-like weather and all, but not in early August! I feel like we are getting short-changed on summer, which is such a short season anyway :( But, Mother Nature has a mind of her own, so we try to make the best of it! I took the kids to ride bikes on the Rail Trail yesterday. It was very fun! Until we got deep into the trail and the mosquitoes decided to bite. The fun quickly ended and we bee-lined it back. Once we got back to the start of the trail the kids started having fun again. We stayed there for a bit and Evan had fun running up and down the huge sand hill!
