Off to Pre-school!

Sophia started her last year of pre-school this week! Orientation with Mom was Wednesday and her first full morning was Friday. Despite her telling me that she was not going to school this year earlier in the week, she had a great couple of first days with no tears and no hesitation! I was telling Jeff this morning how much I absolutely love her school - the teachers could not be more loving and nurturing - she had a huge hug yesterday for her lead teacher and all of the teachers just genuinely seem to love these children. It does not seem like a job to them - they all seem so passionate about teaching these little ones. As a parent it makes me feel so comfortable leaving her in this environment. We're looking forward to a huge year of learning. She is recognizing most of her letters and their sounds at this point and can write many of them too. My guess is that she will be reading small words this year...she is very interested and motivated! Here's to a great year Sophia - have fun!!!!!
