Enjoying Nana's Playground!

Yet another surprise.....Nana has a new playground in her backyard!!! Meg and I feel a bit slighted considering she got a MUCH nicer swingset for her grandkids than she did for us when we were little :) We are all enjoying it immensely! We keep teasing her that when the grandkids aren't using it, she is going to have all of her friends over to "play"!!! Thanks Nana for some fun times!

Happy Early Birthday Sophia!!

Surprise! Mommy, Daddy and Evan gave Sophia her birthday present a little early - her new princess room! She came out of the bathtub one night last week and much to her surprise, we had set up the room - complete with a new "big girl bed" (Nana Flurry's old bed, spruced up to match the rest of her bedroom furniture) new princess sheets, duvet, matching pillows and a pink tulle canopy plus a few other pink "princessy" accessories - she loves it and has slept soundly in her new bed ever since!

Cousins Arrive!

Evan and Sophia have been so happy to have their cousins here in America (and their aunt and uncle as well of course!!) We have had beautiful weather since their arrival which I am sure they are thrilled about. They said it has been cool and rainy in England for the past two months and they were hoping to catch some summer weather while here. We have had lots of fun so far doing our favorite summer activities - backyard pool fun, ice cream/summer concert at Pinecroft, swimming/boating at the camp (Evan even is trying waterskiing this summer!) and just enjoying playtime together. Emilia looks relatively the same to us - a bit taller, but otherwise, not too different - still the same pretty little girl she always has been :) Jack, on the other hand, is a new little man! He's not bald anymore - he has blonde hair - and it's long - a little mullett almost! SO CUTE! He's walking and babbling away....Here are a few pictures of our fun visit so far.

Happy 4th!!

We were lucky enough to be invited to Joan and Vinny's "little slice of heaven" as I call it for the 4th. Ev had no fun - LOL! I think he would live in the water if he could! He seems to have the ocean in his blood - loved swimming, surf boarding, fishing, looking for snails (which we kept 3 as pets - they lasted about 2 days!) It was a great day and it feels as if summer is officially here. Looking forward to more beach time in the upcoming weeks, as vacation approaches quickly and our family starts to arrive! HOORAY SUMMER!!!!!!
